EstateIntel is designed to operate primarily as a offline-first, client-side application. We respect your privacy and minimize the amount of information processed:
- Local Property & Tenant Data: Any information you enter about your properties, units, tenants, leases, rent invoices, and maintenance logs is saved directly on your local device storage. We do not transmit this data to our external servers.
- Documents & PDF Files: Lease agreements, invoices, or utility receipts you import into the application are stored locally in the application's secure sandbox.
- Notification Settings: If you allow the application to send push notifications, the app records preferences to trigger reminders for tenant payments, overdue rents, or lease expirations.
2. Syncing and Cloud Storage
To enable backup and multi-device synchronization, EstateIntel utilizes Apple's iCloud service (via SwiftData/CoreData integration):
- If iCloud is active on your Apple device, your app data will be securely backed up and synced to your personal iCloud container managed by Apple.
- We do not host or operate database servers holding your personal data, and we do not have access to your iCloud files or databases.
3. Device Permissions
To provide full features, the app may request the following permissions:
- Notifications: Used to notify you of overdue rent payments, upcoming lease endings, or contractor schedule updates.
- Camera/Photo Library: Used solely to allow you to photograph issues and attach photos to maintenance tickets.
- Files/Storage: Used to import PDF lease documents and agreements into your localized portfolio database.
4. Third-Party Services
EstateIntel does not display advertisements, track your behavioral metrics, or sell any user information to brokers or marketing companies. We do not utilize third-party analytics SDKs that track personal identities.
5. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for use by adult landlords, property owners, and real estate managers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
6. Security of Your Data
Because all database operations take place on your local iOS device, the security of your property logs depends on your device security (e.g. keeping your passcode safe, FaceID/TouchID protection, and secure iCloud credentials).
